Wyong Campus

The Wyong campus is situated in the Wyong business district.
Wyong offers a range of courses specialising in Adult Basic Education, Automotive, Beauty, Business Administration, Business Management, Electro technology, Hospitality, Information Technology, Nursing, Outreach, Plumbing and Prevocational Studies.
Wyong Trade School is a partnership between Wyong TAFE Campus, Wyong High School and various industry partners. The initiative offers Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to combine school, TAFE and paid employment in their chosen vocation as a school-based trainee or apprentice which can help student’s kick-start their career.

TVET Courses Offered by Hunter TAFE

TVET courses for high school students in years 11 and 12. The Wyong commercial catering and nutrition section offers HSC 2 unit courses in Commercial Cookery, Food and Beverage, Nutrition and Dietary Assistance.

The ‘food on your lap’ program has been developed by BMCC to help food handlers to assess their food hygiene and food safety skills in an educative non-threatening environment.

Gives TVET students the opportunity to practice past HSC exams. This will broaden TVET students knowledge of HSC questioning techniques and what is included in the core curriculum.

This website is created Catherine Saxelby who is a qualified nutritionist and is very passionate about helping busy people make healthy choices. She gives an insight on how to loose weight and stay healthy. There is also information on light foods, vitamin waters etc. and whether they are good for you. She has also included in the site must read books and up to date polls on up to date issues, like junk food in school canteens and lets people comment on the issue and have their say. The site also has fact sheets and FAQ’S, and recipes. It also includes regular blogs.

Nutrition Australia

This site includes a calendar of events letting people know of what events are upcoming. It also provides information about nutrition week and refugee’s support. Its mission statement is to promote optimal health for all Australians by encouraging food variety and physical activity. The site also gives information on their history and about healthy eating and healthy weight. The site includes recipes and FAQ’s, membership details, projects and media sources and an insight on community projects.
